Dr. Nick was a former admissions officer at Vanderbilt University and an application reader for the University of Pennsylvania. In his roles at Vanderbilt and Penn, Dr. Nick evaluated more than 7000 applications and set the admissions committee strategy for the school across majors and applicant demographics. Dr. Nick also organized the Vandy Alumni Interview Program, where he managed a team of 50+ interviewers across the U.S. to drive a rigorous selection process for the school.
Dr. Nick is a graduate of an independent school and has devoted his career to helping students navigate the admissions process. He has a B.A. in History and Anthropology and an M.Ed in Higher Education Administration from Vanderbilt, a College Counseling specialization from UCLA, and an Ed.D from the University of Houston. Dr. Nick has also worked as a Director of College Counseling in several school communities including Houston's St. John's School, co-wrote a book on college admissions, and taught adult learners at Rice University. Additionally, he has given many presentations at high schools and national conferences on the details of the admissions process. |
Tracy is a life-long educator who loves connecting with students of all ages as well as building relationships with parents. Since joining Pathway in 2023, she has developed a particular expertise in in-state Texas schools. She has her BS in Applied Learning and Development from the University of Texas at Austin and her Masters in Educational Administration from Southwest Texas State. She is an Associate Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association.
Tracy's entire professional career has involved education in some form, including teaching elementary school, teaching and directing preschool, writing curriculum, presenting continuing education, and now working with students to assist them in pursuing their college careers. She recently engaged in the college application process as a parent with her own two boys, who are both attending the University of Texas at Austin, and wants to encourage parents and students alike through this often-stressful process. Tracy lives just outside of Austin with her husband, Dusty, and can often be found on the pickleball courts, ski slopes, disc golf course, cooking, in the garden, or at the airport heading to a new travel location! |

Alex, who joined Pathway in early 2023, is a dedicated student advocate who spent several years as a librarian in the Austin Community College system in a student-facing role, leading to a move into working with students one on one. She loves helping her students feel good about the writing and other work they produce with her help. She's a double Longhorn with an undergraduate degree from UT Austin with a major in History and minor in French as well as a Masters degree in Information Studies. Her philosophy focuses on understanding and bringing out the potential of every student, and she has experience with student-athletes as well as with college and universities at all levels of selectivity. When she's not helping students navigate the college process, Alex can be found doing trivia, reading, or knitting. She lives in Austin with her husband Zach, Butters the dog, Tibby the cat, and Rose the tripod kitty, a recent rescue. She is an Associate Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association.

Abigail Myers brings 15 years of experience as a teacher and school administrator to her role as a counselor and advocate for young people and their families. She completed her certification in College Admissions Counseling with Rice University, and she is also a National Board Certified Teacher of Adolescent and Young Adult English. She is a lifelong Northeasterner, but married into Aggiehood! She is passionate about finding the right college matches for young people who may be college-skeptical, neurodiverse, or otherwise historically underserved in the college matching process.
Abigail especially loves supporting young people with writing. As an essayist herself, Abigail has an appreciation for the form that extends to the Common Application and associated essay tasks for young people looking forward to college. Some of her published essays include "Fires in Canada" and "Vigil in the Afternoon," exploring her own values, hopes, and fears. |
